On the path of market oriented helicopter appraisals

Gerard DETERNE, CEO and Founder of PTERON Valuations, discusses with Dr Frank Liemandt, EUROPEAN ROTORS Show Director, what PTERON does when appraising helicopters: considering all factors which are applicable to the helicopter types at stake and which affect the market segment where they operate.

Investing in helicopters calls for a thorough assessment of all factors that can influence negatively, positively or in a nominal manner their depreciation. But just looking at the number of hours flown or at the A/C configuration is not enough. While any industrial asset such as helicopters cannot experience anything but losing value over time, the review of all factors (physical deterioration, functional obsolescence, economic obsolescence) that can affect their values must be performed to assess the pace at which such depreciation occurs.

In a very diverse market, Gerard DETERNE, CEO and founder of PTERON Valuations, discusses with Dr. Frank Liemandt, EUROPEAN ROTORS Show Director, what PTERON is ready to do when appraising helicopters: considering all the factors which are applicable to the helicopter types at stake and which affect the market segments where they operate.
