EUROPEAN ROTORS has lifted off with an overwhelmingly successful live debut in 2021! Join us now for the 2nd edition of the one and only European event where you will meet the entire VTOL community and grow your business! The European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have teamed up to create an exceptional showcase for the European VTOL branch: Industry, operators and the regulator are coming together and discussing the future of vertical flight. EUROPEAN ROTORS is the unique platform for the industry driven by the leading OEMs to do business and - at the same time – to share knowledge in a comprehensive educational programme. The renowned EASA Rotorcraft and VTOL Symposium has been integrated into the three-day event and focuses on the latest rotorcraft and VTOL developments from a safety perspective. The unique concept of the event is augmented by certified training sessions, best-practice seminars and workshops. Another plus is the hybrid character as the show is supported by a virtual event providing additional information of the exhibitors and offering digital conference topics – plus a 365 platform for the exchange of the community through the year. EUROPEAN ROTORS is constantly supported by a steering committee which consists of important members of the EHA board, representing the industry, the national associations and EASA. The show shall empower the whole rotorcraft community to meet the challenges of the future and it highlights the contribution VTOL operations deliver to the European community.

Join us for the second edition of EUROPEAN ROTORS from the 8th to 10th November 2022 at Koelnmesse Convention Centre North, hall 8, in Cologne, Germany. We look forward to seeing you there.

Travel & accommodation

How to get there

Whether you are travelling from another country or within Germany, Cologne and the venue Koelnmesse (Exhibition Centre) is easily accessible by car, train or plane.

By Car

Ten motorways are linked with the motorway ring around Cologne. This leads you directly to the fair grounds without being held up by crossroads or traffic lights. For the smart way, we recommend the Koelnmesse app NUNAV Navigation.

By Plane

The closest Airport, Köln Bonn, is only a 15 minutes’ drive away from Koelnmesse. If you arrive at the Airport in Duesseldorf it takes less than 60 minutes by car to get to the fairground or 1 hour and 15 minutes by train. The Frankfurt Airport is around 1 h and 45 min away by car or around 1 h by train.

By Train

Koelnmesse can be quickly reached by trains from many cities in Germany and abroad. In addition, the Köln Messe/Deutz station for high-speed trains (e.g. the ICE) is located directly next to the exhibition grounds. The main train station of Cologne, Köln Hauptbahnhof, is a 10 – 15 min train ride away of the Köln Messe/Deutz station.

Statements about the show

«Airbus Helicopters, as a member of the European Helicopter Association, strongly supports the initiative to have a European trade show, in partnership with EASA, and in line with the industry‘s expectations—showcasing the innovation and technology that ensure high levels of safety for the men and women who fly our helicopters every day, and at the same time allows us to share our vision of the future of vertical flight. Meeting our customer‘s operational requirements through our products and associated support and services is our key priority, and EUROPEAN ROTORS will continue to present, after a successful edition in 2021, an invaluable opportunity to meet with them and listen to their current and future needs, in addition to the prominent EASA Rotorcraft and VTOL Symposium.»
